Libby Welch, MFA

I recently finished my MFA at SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) in graphic design. My thesis was about graphic design's ability to create myth, or specific perceptions, and propagate that idea over time.

The exhibit consisted of several original works exploring those ideas and how images are used. I drew from advertising and documentary journalism. A variety of media and materials used, including physical and digital interactivity, video, and social media integration.

The show was extremely well-received and had the intended effect of introducing a wider audience to these ideas.
